Mission Vision
In a collaborative effort, all metro Catholic parishes will develop a Social Justice and Outreach Center of excellence.

Mission Statement
All area Catholic parishes will work together toward establishing consistent and efficient delivery of Social Justice and Outreach services to people in need in our metro communities.  The foundation for this effort will be the 7 Key Principles of Catholic Social Teachings as outlined by the Archdiocese of Dubuque.  Development will include all areas of Social Justice and Outreach, using and refining best practices currently in place in our parishes as our guide.

We are so grateful to our group of golf buddies who drop by monthly with a donation of jelly! Thanks to Jack and friends for helping keep the pantry stocked with jelly!

Many thanks to All Saints School for helping us celebrate our birthday with these clever birthday bags for us to share with our clients in order to make some of their birthdays a little brighter!
The bags contain a cake mix, frosting, plates, napkins, candles and a child's gift .  We will distribute these bags to families that have a child's birthday coming up.

A great night of fun and trivia at Blessed John XXIII raised $1600 for MCO!! Thank you so much to those who participated in that event!

Thanks to the 7th grade Religious Education students from St. Elizabeth Ann Seton who brought food, and packed boxes for the food pantry!

Thanks to Transamerica for including MCO in their chili cook-off. Votes cost $1 or 1 can of food for the best chili, and all cans and cash were donated to MCO!

Thank you to the Hope United Church of Christ in Hiawatha for bringing 500 cans of food to MCO! Thank you for reaching out with us to the hungry in our community!

Thank you to CLA for supporting MCO through their Jeans 4 A Cause program! We received a monetary donation from the employees of CLA who chose to wear jeans on a casual Friday. We appreciate the funds, and the support of our mission to reach out to families in need in our community.
 
 
Young Parents Network - Cedar Rapids, IA
 
Thanks to the staff of Young Parents Network for sharing their time with MCO by staffing the food pantry on September 18 for their Day of Caring! It was agreat way for an agency already involved with families in need to provide in a different way.

The employees split in to teams and made these "canstructions" from the food collected. What a fun and creative way to reach out to the community!
